MAFLD aur NAFLD

It is a hepatic manifestation of metabolic syndrome . In this there is accumulation of fat occurs.

Indication of procedure

More common in age group of 40-60years of age

If fat accumulation occur >10 % than it is considered as NAFLD

 

Causes of Fatty liver disease

  • LFT ( raised AST and ALT)
  • FBS / Serum insulin
  • USG abdomen
  • Fibroscan
  • Liver biopsy
